There are a few different ways in which you can pay for dental treatment

“Pay as you go”
This is exactly as it sounds, and means that every time you have a treatment or visit the practice, call a dentist out etc. you pay the allocated fee.

Many people like this method as they feel more in control of their payments.

There are no insurances or covers in place.

We accept cash, cheques all major credit cards and debit cards.

Please note however, that we make a charge of 2% on top of any payment of £50 or more made with a credit card (e.g. visa or mastercard).

Interest free finance
This is an excellent way of spreading the cost of a significant treatment such as cosmetic work on multiple teeth or implant therapy.

Repayment terms are 6, 12 or 18 months in length and arrangements are made via Tupsley Dental Practice with Braemar Financial Services UK.

Membership Plans 
This is an excellent choice for patients that do not need a great deal of regular work carried out.

For a monthly payment of approximately £12 you are covered for one check-up and one scale and polish per year, plus any small routine x-rays.

You are also insured against the cost of dental treatment required following accidents and dental emergencies, not just anywhere in the UK but worldwide.

As the scheme covers you for your routine appointments you only need to pay for extra treatment such as fillings or crowns that may be required, or perhaps a second scaling each year.

Care Plans                  
Sometimes called maintenance plans, these schemes cover the cost of most of your dental treatment.

You are covered for two check-ups, and two scalings each year, plus any other routine treatment such as fillings.

There are some exclusions, such as cosmetic work or other treatment that is not clinically necessary, and additional scalings, specialist referrals, and implant treatment generally but not exclusively.

Most people choose to pay a monthly fee by direct debit for this cover, and the average payment is about £20 per person per month.

Each patient is assessed separately however and so your monthly fee may be different.

A discount is made for more than one payment coming from a single bank account.

Care plans for children           
We encourage all parents to place their children on our in house car plan list.

These plans cover all your children’s dental needs with a very heavy emphasis on preventative dentistry.

Fees per month are around £11 per child per month, but children under 5 years of age are seen free of charge.

Fee increases               
In order to maintain our high standard of care and commitment to our patients we need to raise our fees.

Care plan and membership plan fees are reassessed each year, whilst pay as you go treatments may be reassessed more or sometimes less frequently.
